Anyone charge for checking moisture. I don't mean quick test with aquant ect, more when you start with moisture boxes over a few days. Just been through the motion with a customer who has a new concrete floor with ufh, had to test wanting lvt newish concrete couple months old but 30mns drive away. Price too high & someone else got it, I think they bought online & found a fitter. Maybe if charged £50 and said would knockoff job if got it ? don't know. Any ideas
When the customers complain that it's not drying quick enough, I always tell them that I should be charging for this service but I will come over again and check it for you until it's dried....
take a dipper on the job, then knock it off the price at the end that's what I do generally 20% of price
I give quote and say that if accepted can't fit until moisture level low enough. Then if they accept it, I'll do checks.
Dipper ? a deposit? trimmer how can you quote before testing, you may need to dpm later and the additinal cost may loose you the job ?
dipper=deposit mate i give them a rough costing if it needs a dpm it's £- if not it's gonna be £- so much then show them the readings to prove i'm not trying to fleece them sometimes customer thinks they know best though can't be helped.
