Got a stairs to do with 2 awkward shaped half landings kite winders the job lot in a striped carpet. I have done loads of stairs and twists as runners but customers have always had landings fully fitted any tips for marking out awkward landings and what's the neatist way of fixing the them
I normally lay carpet over size on landing and pin in place, mark edges, remove pins, cut to marks then get whipped. Sometimes I'll gripper 1" to 1 1/2" in from edge and rely on tension to hold in place. Other times I staple just behind the binding to hold down. The microplas tape (felt back stuff) works on some.
