Very good tool, we used it on the quickstep course and its spot on. Very accurate. I don't even use a rail when I cut doors with the plunge saw but the rail is worth having

Is that with the door in situ, or taken off?

    Have a look on youtube.
I'm pretty sure that there's a demo of the dewalt being used with the guide rail and a clamp to cut the door insitu.
The saw can be run along the floor or a piece of timber and will cut 11mm high.
I've got one and its great. I use it for cutting borders in woods and for cutting doors.
It takes a couple of minutes for doors but I take them off and put them on a pair of saw horses.
Connect the saw to the hoover and it's virtually dust free.
Have a look at "Lawson tools" as well. I got mine from them at a good price (beat any others at the time). Also D&M tools in Twickenham often have good deals on tools

Went in to get one today, chickened out, the spare blades are £40 a pop, on my ancient door trimmer the blade I had, would cut through anything, nails in bottom of door etc, apparently theres nothing similar to fit on a plunge saw? If you guys cut doors with a plunge or circular saw what blades do you use and how long do they last? BTW the de-walt was £300 + vat including 2 guide rails, and a pair of clamps that fit onto/into the rails.

You should be able to use any other brand of blade mate, as long as the blade diameter and bore are correct. Also more teeth means cleaner cuts. Try feud or trend blades for an alternate to dewalts own.
