    off topic a bit, but if you were to tile a wall and the tiles fell off with the plaster attached areyou then liable for that too..

    depends on what weight tiles you used and if the plaster you tiled over was suitable for the tiles. You still however are taking on responsability that the plaster your tiling onto is sutable for you to tile to.

    So in simple terms then yes. But if the plaster on the wall was put on to a supposed spec then no. Your problem is proving it.

    if ardex etc... come out and spec for it and you do it to the letter yet the subfloor fails who's liable then ardex etc.. or the installer?
