I have been to see a job today. Somebody has screeded a york stone floor which has now blown. Would an Ardex surface DPM 1C be sufficient with Ardex NA screed.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Should be ok then. I have used it alot the last couple of years.

The thicker you put it on the higher RH% you can go over.

Daz, what trowel size do you use to set the thickness?

I've always used a 2 mm spreading trowel. Seems to put enough on.

Is that a2? I normally use f.ball as they come with a trowel but ardex don't

I did an Ardex training day and the guy said ' use a normal 2 mm adhesive spreading trowel ' . It looks like A.T.A ( remember that ! ) when it goes down, but the seration ? drops and forms a suitable covering of D.P.M.

2mm is a standard carpet adhesive size (could be B1?) and is bigger than A2. If you use A2 you won't get enough on the floor to protect upto 97%RH

God, I remember doing a WH Smith in Cambridge. The basement must have been about 800 sq. m all in tile on ata.
I must have spread about 400 sq before I had to come up for air, and chuck my guts up.
Never got any ventilation in there, nasty job

You need a thicker notch if you want it to cover 97RH% not sure of the thinkness size but I use the standard notch ( a3 I think ) for putting it on normal an a deeper notch if high moisture.

So the old f3 trowel is the one to use if I want it to go to 97% yeah?

Ha! Same here laid a few thousand metres of altro with f3. Until that new fangled f44 stuff came out.
