Any one know if you can get certified ( no cracks about the madhouse please) to show that you can and do test for moisture in flooring slabs?
Yes mate, you can get accredited through floorskills. Its a pass or fail test tho. You cant just do a course and 'pass' What is a accredited course ? = a Cskills Awards branded certificate gives your learners recognition that the course undertaken meets the educational rigour associated with a leading Construction Awarding Organisation.
Its a test. Most will complete in approx 3-4 hours. (subfloor test) You will have to complete/pass - multiple choice exam in either written or tex speak format Moisture testing of concrete subfloors Moisture testing of wooden subfloors Selecting and applying DPM Selecting and applying primers Selecting and applying a smoothing compound
I'm thinking about getting a tramex kit, what's the best one? Can you test anhydrite floors with them? Where's the best place to buy?
The tramex has a Gypsum (anhydrite) setting in scan mode. But scan mode is not a BS standard. It is however a Europen standard. To test to BS you need a hygrometer test that it can do with plugs etc. As for best place, im waiting on a price that i should have tomorrow morning. I hope to be able to give a great discount to forum trade members. We will see what the price is tomorrow.
