Doesn't cracking occur because the screed drys out to quick? when it cracked on you was it a hot day?
Because high compression screeds don't like seen to like dpm's , Ashpalt and some ceramics. As I have said before in the last few years I've used most screeds on the market. Used on site in different conditions on different subfloors and learnt alot.
Could be that then. Used it with 1k an it was ok. I use laybond rapid instead now though as its great if surface is a bit rough. And it going down very quick.
I used latexplan trade for a while a couple of years back, had it fail on me more than once though so stopped using it. It only seemed to like clean ie adhesive/gunk free subfloors. Came out of the latex bucket easy when it was dry though!
Looked into the level it 2 option, certainly seems like good gear and similar price to the sx302, but i'd be happier using a system. Spoke to the tremco rep this morning and he reckons that if i latex first, then dpm on top then it will be strong enough to stand up to the wood so that's the way i'm thinking of going at the moment. This may all change tomorrow of course Cheers for the input chaps.
It failed a lot. Even when primed. A mate of mine used it, it all came up. They got the rep out, and he said it`s only for use over new concrete screed. The guy i`m working for at the moment uses it all the time. Flows out great, but won`t dry !
Interesting reading fellas some good advice here. I have a solid 18 x 120 oak plank to quote for only 3m2 over asphalt. I guess I need to screed but to use a stronger water or latex screed as heard always use latex over asphalt. Any advice? ps planning to use liquid battens maybe b95 sausage as I prefer to use f ball gear.
