A Tramex gives Moisture Content readings up to 6.9%. Can someone enlighten me as to how to use the readings? Basically I want to know when alarm bells should be ringing when checking existing domestic subfloors prior to screed and lvt installation.

it works in MC, there is no true comparison to a RH reading as the read different ways. Also the MC scale is not BS so any reading you take should not be used.

What it can be used for is to scan the floor to tell you where to set up a hygrometer or plug test and then use the tramex to read this in RH.

Anything above about 3.5 should be classed as a risk tho, however all floor should be tested with a hygrometer
