Ive always been partial to 700 as it was the first fibre latex id used and saw no reason to change, but since going on the amtico course and seeing a few others being used its got me thinking, ive got two jobs coming up that im plying then over skimming with a fibre latex. What does everyone else use? I was thinking maybe fibreplan or ardex fa20 as they are both cheaper than 700 whilst not sacrificing on quality, but I also came across tremco sx100 which would probably be cheap as chips like there sx301 which imho isnt a bad latex for the money, has anyone used the sx100? or is there something else that you use/would recommend?
I use level flex good stuff and over half the price to 700 takes a little longer to go off but a small thing to put up with for the price
Been using mapei renovation screed. It's okay but waiting a couple of mins to rewhisk is frustrating. Going to try some others.
Little bit more than that mate but, as you know can go over everything, bitumen, wood, anylyhydrate, adhesives so always gonna use is. They are bringing out a bag and bottle latex which you can use on your no problem concrete jobs for under a tenner a unit. Have a chat with the rep Mark mate.
Using SX100 on a site at the moment get the mixes right and don't over water (like others on the same site) 5-5.5 ltrs and it comes up a treat must keep the spike roller well watered thou
700 is expensive but fantastic, used level flex a few times but takes ages to dry. It's not worth skimping on a few quid when you turn up to fit and floor still wet.
