I'd batten the joists then ply rom baton to baton and get some of that spikey foam they use for music studios put that in, it's not product specific but you get my drift, or egg boxes loads of them a friend of mine used to band practice in his parents loft and they covered the whole attic in some kind of cardboard like egg boxes an it worked a treat.
Regupol 6010 Ba is like the egg box stuff. But it`s formed out of crumb rubber. It`s very good, Ive used it a lot.
Carpet & Flooring will do ya a good deal, or should do. The people who distribute it, are part of the same group. Daz also knows a guy who has exactly the same spec products, but better rates. Where are u Daz ?

The one I used had to be passed by some sound xpert for airborne and impact sound. It was very expensive though.
