I,m thinking of getting a festool midi dust extractor as its on an offer, would use it most for vacuuming carpet as well as the dust extract for wood things, I see the filter bags are quite pricey £20.00 for 5, anyone use one, recommend or not ?

There rubbish for hoovering good for extraction. Brought one last year with the cleaning kit for free from Axminster and my Henry was better for hoovering. Got rid of it for that reason now use an earlex for extraction and Henry to Hoover.

That's what I was wondering , my henry is struggling , thought this could do both jobs and its on offer at £ 200.00, but my main thing is carpets , any details on the earlex , how does it compare to the festool for extraction

How does the Festool cope with fine dust from grinding?

Earlex I got from screw fix not sure on model but does dust extraction very well and is a Hoover which to me is better than festool also a blower and sucks up water. About £100 when I brought it last year.

Lol ....yes perhaps we will need an extractor and a vacuum , just trying to cut down the space on the van .
I'm tempted still to buy the festool still though for the extraction unless there a compromise that will do both jobs well !

I thought out of all of them it would be festool but obviously not I'd stick with 2 systems.

its a brush instead of the standard end, as the henry sucks its spins round at lightning speed and picks up very fast

I love Henry's got a few 110 240 and the wet vac all work well. Bought the turbo head a couple of years back the brush spins rearly well and it's only powered from the suction from the hover. I use mine round the house now. used it on a few Carpet job when I first got it but it gets jammed easily with a lot of fluff. A good tool though it dose bring up the pile well. If numatic brought out a Henry with a power take off I'd buy it tommorow.
