Have a job fitting a flat weave, has anybody heard of a Danish manufacturer called benzton. What underlay would you advise for this material. Thanks.

never heared of them mate, but i'd use a crumb rubber Treadmore or similar and either short or microplast gripper, other than that full stick on system 10/durafit

Cheers Tarkett. I was going to use short pin gripper. I asked the technical guy from the uk distributor but he didn't have much info. I said gripper standard distance or closer, he just said yes that should be fine. What underlay, he said a good one like cloud 9.

Cloud 9 contract and tight gripper. Depends on the backing but most flat weave fit like a normal carpet

I did one yesterday on system 10 , but that was for another reason , best use a more solid underlay rather than spongy like been mentioned cloud 9 contract or felt / crumb type , decent gripper and a bit tighter than normal

The guy said it will fit like a normal carpet but I will probably use something like crumb felt. I know they are not as soft as a cloud 9 style sponge but last much better. Customer wants a join that she can't see, firm tells me to tell her Join will be visible. Brilliant.

You'll never get an invisible join with a flatweave.
    She's in for a shock.

And this has been the most difficult customer that I've had to deal with.

you can never get a truly invisible seam with any carpet silly woman, but i'd stick with a crumb or kensington deluxe mate less movement and no pile so softness obviously doesn't matter anyway

One join is straight through the main bedroom, the others are the 3 doorways. I need a better solution than that merit as I want you to do it!!! Just got the samples from weaver green, but also just got some samples from a firm c,alled natural elements flooring. Some nice stuff, also some pricey stuff. Nice chunky 100% wool, flatweaves, few sisals.

@ Mahmood. Totally, if they like it they buy it. I think with your customers being more top end then it could be good for you. This firm won't deal with everyone, so I've been told ,so you may have something different to the next shop which is always good.
