Still got one of them boxes somewhere in the garage.
Which tramex is that? Does it read RH% in measure mode?

That tramex is actually a wood moisture meter that can give a guide on concrete also. Looking at the results its not far off a guess at RH. However it will never be accurate on concrete as its more set up for masonary as in bricks that have a different density. Saying that tho, compared to a protimeter which reads a scale of 0-999 then its a fair bit closer and more realistic conversion compared.

Yes it can do proper RH readings with a tube or box .

Someone was asking a while ago about tramex scale and comparing it to rh so I thought it would be interesting for people to see the comparison r/h to tramex meter.
If tramex conc encounter reads 2 or less I know it should be safe to fit on.
Got a conservatoty I'm testing as well, will put pics up using hygro-i and box for comparrison with meters.

    Can do.
If tramex are there, they'll probably have all sorts available.
The digital meter is a mrh3 and is for testing wood and other materials. Will do rh by insitu or box method. As Matt says, the masonry scale is not really for concrete but thought I'd compare it to other tests to satisfy my curiosity.

still none of the standard meters are anywhere near accurate enough definately shows we always need to do a hygro test

The problem is they read different.

A hygrometer reads how much moister is coming out of concrete, not how much is in the concrete.

The tramex tries to work out concrete moisture in weight ratio, which is a European standard. It is telling us how much moisture is in teh floor, not whats coming out of it.

The protimeter is working out a resistance and give you what it thinks in dry or wet.
