Sander

Got a small landing to sand, pine floor boards that only need a light sand as no stain on them but need slight levelling off. Would a decent belt sander be better than a edger? Any ideas on a good sander

If I had a fiver for everytime ive heard "it only needs a light sand"

 

I was always taught that whatever you put into a floor, you need to take out. An edger on a 40/60/80 will certainly get the harder work done ie flatten the floor if the floorboards are cupped.

Taken up to a prepped stage before lacquering/oiling/waxing Bosch,makita will all do what you need with either an 80/100/120 grit depending how good a finish you want. Me personally I use a festool ro150 for me the best palm I've ever bought, not cheap but takes everything I throw at it...
