In the past, if I have needed a bespoke design or name in a floor eg. Karndean or Polyflor, then that company has done a specific design for me. Is there a machine or method that will cut lettering out of and of course into vinyl or wood flooring?
LVT bespoke designs are cut with a high pressure water jet thingy there's nothing that could do the job as far as I no & stenciling letters free hand could take for ever & never be as precise ! Get them made properly mate
It's not cheap! It's actuallt Forbo products which you can get from them , doing something new at the moment with vinyl signwriting stencils, uv paint with coloured chippings and encapsulating it in hard clear coatings.
Funny you ask that John, Next door to FloorSkills is a new laser cutting machine being installed. Its a laser that can cut 1" steel at perfect precision and any design. We know it will cut LVT and wood also but we think there might be issues with smoke and toxic fumes so waiting for the extraction system to be installed. Very smart bit of kit !
