Had a real bad batch of ply recently. It wasn't until it was done and I was feathering that I noticed the top layer had delaminated in small areas. I cut out and repaired but.. Who's fault is it if it all comes up in 6months?
Neil's right I'd say. I had to replace a floor for a customer whose floor suffered from ply shrinkage, headlam wouldn't come good even though we had it inspected by different people who confirmed the fault. It was perfect when fitted but they washed their hands of it. If you leave the floor knowing there's potential for problems, you too will probably have to come good in the end. I haven't used Headlam ply since and funnily enough zero problems :thumbs
It happenned to me a couple of weeks ago, de laminating after adhesive applied, had enough and got some Hanson sp100 from mercados. First time I used it today and is a massive improvement, you notice the difference as soon as you pick it up.Wont be using anymore from builders supply despite it being half the price.
