Just thought i would post this to see what everybody else uses, Personally ive tried a few and ive come to this conclusion, Pink Grip is the best adhesive ive used by a long way. No priming and it sticks like hell.
for me its morleys A17 mental stuff, and goes solid in 45mins so by the time youve finished your prep and are ready to powerstretch, its good to go..
the last two floor types were flag stones and then an old concrete slab (above grade). The carpets being fitted were, dartmore axi and the other was a heavy ryalux. No movement what so ever, does take a day to dry though, but knowing that when you come back next day they'll be no suprises, its worth the wait. I have tried priming pink in the past (spray,131), and it failed. put me off the pink. maybe wrong primer? Have you tested it matt? would be good to see how it compares to others?
ye, i like the pink grip. 131 is no good as a primer tho. With what you have been sticking to it should stick without primer.
Matt - What was that rapid setting adhesive you had at Floor skills. Think it was a Rewmar one (set in 1/2 hr if I remember right). I like the look of that, any idea how much per box?
Yep same stuff mario is on about. 15 minutes you can cut underlay in against it. 30 minutes you can walk on stair noses and light stretch 45 mins you can stretch off it with a power stretcher. When i say stretch of it, you will rip the gripper in two halfs the bond is so strong.
www.tradediscountshop.co.uk the only webshop that I know of that will add on what you would like to buy... (keep it clean)
Dont forget to sell the proper gun for it you try squeezing that stuff out with a normal gripfill gun
