I've got some work at a school and on day one I'm ripping up the old safety floor and screeding, so I need to have the stuff with me. What we people advise as the best thing.

Ardex ? As they may be some glue residue left from taking the floor up.

Ardex NA or you could use the new f-ball Pro 1200 it's got some good reviews and will cost less.

Correct, ardex NA is a great product but the reason why it can go over old adhesive is due to lower strength. What compound you use and how you prep the subfloor should be down to what the area is to be used for.

For example, if a commercial area then adhesive should be removed and a high strength compound used.
if a domestic / light use area then old adhesive can stay down (depending on strength and if it water soluble) and a product like NA/ 1200 used.

The manufacture's keep telling us that these products are suitable for large commercial applications & personally I've used NA a lot for SF & LVT on contract jobs & have never heard of anyone taking up any issues to do with indentation or dents in a used floor ? Is it just know one notices ? Or is this rare unless under extreme weight pressure's to the floor ? Or what ?

Use NA a lot in schools for a bloke I sub for. He loves the stuff and I like putting down as nice to work with.

    One more point...

I'm sure if Ardex started saying that NA is only suitable for domestic use then there profits would drastically plummet?
