Its not really a case of can it ?
All existing floor coverings should be removed if you go over the top your taking a risk Its normally cheaper to uplift first rather than have to replace the whole job if it goes t**s up !

Didn't mean the like by the way )

Don't uzin do something that's been used over Amtico?? It's been out on twitter. I would rip up and start from scratch.

Nope rip up and start from slab your screed is only as strong as your subfloor, the likelihood is that the camaro will come up quite easily once you get going.

Ok well what about latexing and fitting over vinyl tiles then?
This is something that's done quite a bit these days as you're not supposed to take them up if they're stuck with the old black ata type adhesive due to the asbestos issue.
It's something i'm always uneasy about but as of yet i've not had a floor fail doing it this way. Although i'm currently laying 280sm of beveline at my local leisure centre over the existing tiles so sod's law it will all come up!
It can't be much different laying over camaro can it? Provided that it's well bonded surely going over it with an str machine with a copper or harsh grit sandpaper disk followed by unitex na/arditex na/f ball 1200 would work?

Asbestos is in the tile so wouldn't go at it with a disc. Ok it's minimal but ur still get spanked if some1 pulls you up on it. A commercial job that big.....why not take it up? Too much of a risk, if it goes wrong would you like to replace it all? I think I would prefer to get paid more doing a proper job rather than risk replacing it all. Just my opinion mate

    That's the same question ?
    Camaro are vinyl tiles ?
Why are you going over existing floor coverings ?
Your just asking for trouble especially on areas that size & not uplifting means your missing out on the uplift charge to ? You can hire a Rambo floor stripper for about £30 a day !
Basically your making less on your jobs & risking it costing you double WHEN it goes t*ts up & then potentially loosening clients because of the failure

Classic example of looking for the solution to a problem that doesn't exist !
