Hi all Got a contract doing 15 houses at the moment, we're laying wood to the kitchens and hallways. I've just tried to order the last 70sm for the job and it's out of stock until september so need to source another product. The wood i'm using is Woodpecker Harlech Oak Select Wide Plank lacquered finish, 15mm T&G, which is being fully bonded over UFH. The client doesn't want the same product in the oiled finish due to maintenance, and he doesn't like the rustic version because it's too knotty and not in keeping with the new builds in his opinion, so i'm looking for an alternative product, also needs to be no more than £30/sm+VAT. I've sent him a sample of Kahrs Oak Commodity which i put forward originally, but i have a feeling he's not going to like that either as it's still quite knotty - the Harlech is quite a clean board with a minimum of knots. Can anybody suggest an alternative please? Cheers.
Cheers for the info, this looks and sounds like it could be the same board! Any idea which supplier would be the best(most reliable and cheapest)?
as per prev posts go for the V4 Alpine range, Select / Nature - Same as the Harlech, spot on... Same manufacturer, different packaging mate...!
Cheers for the replies, hopefully the client will give me the go ahead on the V4 alpine tomorrow. And i've got someone else to lay it already!
I was only joking, I wouldn't let him near a wooden floor. Hahahaha. Pete I'm joking. Turn up next week!
