The first lot are being manufactured at the moment. I have the prototypes here from a few months ago.

They will be available in the next few weeks and then you will start to find them at distributors .

Matt I like the European skirting look and I like speed , problem I have with it on sites is one the plastering, site conditions and the clients perception that cove former is easier to clean, it's liked it's drilled into all architects ( probably from the manufacturers ) that all skirting must be coved,
Clients and their cleaners just see cove as the easy clean option.
It would be like changing the whole outlook on laying flooring in the UK, across the continent they don't do half as much safety flooring as we do, starting with apprentices is a good idea but you need the clients to create the demand.
Lots of areas that we have safety flooring laid in with cape and cove, just have normal vinyl with the vinyl turned up outside the uk,we have just developed in to the American lawyer claim culture and everybody covers there posteriors by specifying non slip R12 which they then can't clean.
I must qoute for at least 10 large jobs each month in coving and capping and over the last years have only one reguest for the European skirting,

iTools do a great tool for pushing the vinyl into the corners and up the walls

Uv, how did get on with Nikolaj?
I've got some of those coming at some point and other bits aswell all to be added to shop when they're here.
I agree educating the people that matter will be the hardest bit.
But if the young fitters that are now coming into the trade and are aware of such systems it should progress through into the trade, as people are more aware of it.

yes I had a good meeting with him, I had already purchased around £3,500 worth of grinding disks over the last couple of weeks and we mostly talked about how to use them on concrete/marble and the Lino, he was interested in the UV curing as well, so had a good chat, he wants to come over when we do our first job on the Lino. nearly got a big grinder from him but its 3 phase and its hard to use on the clients that I have. if it was just site work then I would.
the boys are using the tapping blocks and the wedges on a hotel and they are working out well.

as i said i agree about the European coving and its makes sense to train the boys in it, but you need to get all the manufacturers to support it and change all the specs,
