Is it a Belgian Wilton or traditional woven?

I'd normally suggest a combo underlay (felt and crumb rubber).
Failing that a firmer contract type

If i fit wilton i usually double the gripper. More so on the width rather than the length. I work for a company so just use underlay they supply. Usually dreamwalk, think your sposed to use woolfelt though? As i said i just use what the company tells me to use

I'd use firmalux (probably spelt that wrong) or cloud nine contract ! Double bank the grips on the end widths & copy dex the whole thing to the grips. Nip the sides, tuck the ends ! Copy dex on the back before cutting on the ends some can burst to hell ! £4 m2

crumb rubber mate. Not a soft as your cloud 9's but its for those types of carpet. Culpeck do solfelt, also Kensington which someone else said. I would double bank the gripper and If I remember what matt taught me, the width is most important but anything over 5m id do the length aswell. Fitting, as much as you can. Who wants to work for rubbish money, we have trade. £5 m2 for fitting as they are supplying the carpet and you cant make any money there, put some on for fitting the underlay aswell. £1-1.50m2 for underlay. Give them the gripper for free, nice touch. haha 28m2 for the job, say you get £6m2 for the lot, £168.

Cloud 9 contract. Double gripper, don't like it in doorways.

I just laid some crumb/rubber under 50 oz Brockway. The customer believed that soft underlays were dangerous on stairs and asked for something harder. Its guaranteed for life isn't it!

@coole. For the time it takes to set up and use against normal stretching, do you charge more.?
