I was working on an anhydrite screed two weeks ago and the carpet fitters in the bedrooms fitted them down with Gripfill and left them a couple of hours. It was still okay on Monday

Really!! I've had grip fill pop straight off anhydrate. Prime round the edge with acrylic then use floor wise fast fix. I haven't tried it yet but flexi fix might be good

Yep....mind you the screed had virtually no crust on which was good for me as I had 65 sq mtrs to sand down before priming/screeding ( scares the hell out me that stuff! ) . The guys stretched the carpet as normal and it seemed to hold fine.

Ive used gripfil to. A scrape round the edge first, but it held o.k
We did 600 flats like it !

I guess its down to the mix, Ive seen some that look like power floated screed and some that look like they are made of chalk.
Of those 600 flats did you have any gripper pop off when stretched on? Wasn't cemex anhydrate then?

Yes mate, some did pop. Like you say, the ones which had a weaker mix, with a chalky top, were the worst.
I watched them pour some of the floors. One of the guys had a hose running water into his mix all the time. Those floors with the extra water, had more problems.
Personally I find it`s a real pain in the ar*e to work with.

Had one with a strange lump running thru it and it was apparently where there was a leak coming from the roof. Messed it right up

Had loads like that, copper disk on an str machine sorted them.
If you left it in one spot, you would grind through to the slab
