    Hi all

Thanks for comments no I'm not buying online from a karndean approved retailer

Thanks for the comments on art select I'm pleased to hear its a much better product than Van Gogh in terms of its

    Realistic wood look
    Durability
    Wow factor

So it must be worth the expense over the Van Gogh, are there problems fitting art select as some installers have had complaints about it and butting up because of the bevel?

So might go with summer oak or autumn oak now, was going to have summer oak in hallway and autumn in dining room but many have said that one colour would be better? As it would look more realistic ?

What combinations of border tramlines would work with those colours and how would you separate the rooms at the door where the 2 colours meet at the door frame

The bevel doesn't have ant effect on the tiles butting up ?

At the door if you pick two colours you can use a design strip or strips to divide them but I'd still say stick to one colour it'll look better with the floor flowing through rather than stopping & starting.

If you go for summer oak you can get 30mm summer oak design strips & put either a darker brown or black 3 or 5mm strip each side to have a tramline border which looks really nice !

Thanks all for your advice I think as art select is the vastly superior product over van gogh I will go for that as it must be worth the extra.

Think I will also go for just one colour just need to decide between Autumn Oak or Summer Oak.. Dawn Oak is also nice but the smaller plank size puts me off a bit.

Anybody installed any of these colours and got pics to show?

Autumn oak ans summer oak are both nice. In terms of your butting up concern it's more a problem with the art select tile rather than the plank. You shouldn't have any problem with planks butting up together.

Just tried 2 full size planks each of Art Select Summer Oak and Van Gogh Classic Oak which we had from the Karndean HQ next to each other on the floor.

It must be me but I can't see any difference between the two to justify the extra cost? apart from a slight bevel on the summer oak and a more plastic looking finish on as AS when the light shines on it at certain angles

Your saying extra cost as if it a hell of a lot ?
Have tried getting a price from an approved installer rather than a shop ? Soletrades tend to be cheaper than shops we have less over heads ! I can normally knock spots off a shops price on Artselect !

    Hi

Not yet but we are going to go with Classic Oak in both the hallway and dining room. We thought the finish of the classic oak looked more realistic than the summer oak in art select.

Would you recommend sealing the classic oak when it has been laid, like they do in the showrooms to withstand wear and tear?

It is already has a polyurethane coating !
If you use a hard sealer you need a machine to remove it if ever want to re-coat it ! Your retailer can supply you with a maintenance kit !

As spacey said, the maintenance kit will be fine
