Put 2 hygrometers down just over a month ago on a anhydrate screed and they have both died. The f ball website says the ufh should be turned off to take readings which is a pain in the arse. Could the ufh of broke the hygrometers? Any1 else had problems with hygrometers over ufh?
I think you get over 1000 hours out of the battery and one of them was brand new. The customer reckons he's taken it apart (to change the battery ) and its full of moisture? How ironic.
That's what I was going to do next week when I go back or maybe stamp on it? £200 down the pan. Boooo

50 days old, ye it will be full of moisture, running the underfloor heating will make it dry quicker but will also shove masses of moisture out and at pressure into a sealed box. (like the old school pressure cookers) So no, you shouldnt put hygrometers down with UFH on. Its basically creating hydroscopic pressure and this will FORCE moisture (through pressure) into parts of the hygrometer that should not get wet. They are going through the same pressure a surface dpm goes through on UFH or a base with no dpm. I would leave them to dry out upside down on a radiator with battery's taken out. Leave 24 hrs and then put new battery's in. You might be lucky.
