got a further 60m2 & 2x zones of this flooring & UFH (Plus skirting) to install in the new year, client had a subfloor disaster - uplifting tiles to find soft, crumbly screed. to be sorted / remedied in n.year - so i installed the one room / zone that was ready to rock...

Ted Todd engineered 21mm, Plancher du quicy, Quissac @ c£100 +vat p/m2 along with Raychem T2Red reflecta UFH system... cracking ufh system to work with, easy peasy ;) the TT flooring is gorgeous stuff, actually looking forward to installing the remainder in the NYr...:cool:

really nice floor . looks a good heating system also . only down side i can see is every other plank will get more heat. Has extra groves tho so can give a more localized heat source? Saying that i presume you lay oposite direction to heating cables? still a big void tho?

good points Matt... however - as per manufacturers spec. the 'extra' grooves you see are to allow the cable to be fitted 100mm centres, this is for tiles only. the options for wood & laminate are at either 200mm or 300mm centres. the T2 Reflacta insulation boards are designed to provide an even distribution of heat - see below cut 'n paste from data sheet

T2Reflecta and T2Red floor heating system consists of an insulated
aluminium profile T2Reflecta and the self-regulating T2Red heating
    cable.
The system combines the advantages of the self-regulating heating
cable with the features of the T2Reflecta-plate resulting in a 20%
extra energy saving compared to a T2Red system.
The surface of the T2Reflecta plate enables even heat distribution
across the floor and due to its low profile, it is the ideal system for
    renovation.

Did you need to get a sparky to connect the heating system to the thermostat?
Just watched the youtube video, looks like a cracking system, especially if it doesn't need a part p sparky to finish it off.

sorry for delayed response Trimmz mate,,, as with all 'new' installations (electrical) all work need to be part P'd in-line with building regs. that said I usually connect upto the thermo to fully test system, show client system operational & get them to sign off as system working OK, they then need to arrange a sparky for the part P... works for me & no comebacks to date
