nice chat with accountant today apparently my tax bill for the year in jan is only going to be £245.22 i have my doubts but hey ho hes the money man does this seem too low to you i was expecting 4 figures although i claim back everything to be honest
Have you had a new van or any big machines/tools? If so he might have used all allowances against the purchases. This is great for this year, but could hit you next if you don't keep up with your spending etc. I've had mine in and the accountant had done this. I've opted to pay some this year and save some allowance for next year.
yeah had a few hefty [urchases so might be true enough just wanted a 2nd opinion lol we are always a year behind i think??? if we are i was paying a van off on the finance so be true enough van bought and paid for now
Just depends how much you earn mate 200 is low but you get £9000 odd personl allowance anyway.you just need to make sure when you submit tax returns that you put down you earn enough to cover all bills etc. because if the revenue look into your accounts you need to be squeeky clean or they will pummel you.
Got a bonus just the other day was expecting a big bill but they said I had made an overpayment last year so happy days, I thought you could claim 20% on the van year on year or 40p a mile? Well that whats my accountant does, be interested to know as got a new can last year.
