My Metabo 150mm Duo is playing up.I turn it on it reaches correct speed but when it comes into contact with the floor it slows to a crawl.Anyone had a problem like that before.I 've checked the brushes they are all good .I don't want to take it to a service agent pay for an inspection for them to tell me it's us.Any help would be appreciated.
    Cheers

does the motor revs die also or does the motor keep turning at full speed and the drill bit slows down?

Sorry all it's a random orbital sander & yes Matt the revs do die when it's under load.

    Hi Tony

I've got 2 x Metabo 150mm orbital sanders, not had a problem like you mention...doesn't sound good...

I did bugger one of them up recently trying to change the backing pad, recently bought a new Milwaukee 150mm Orbital for £120.00, very good to be fair, really good value for the money, blends sanding marks out just as well as the Metabo...

sorry mate, your post clearly says it 150mm. Obviously not a drill.

If the revs didnt die i would say the clutch is scrap, as the motor dies i have no idea. Maybe PM Mario on here. He seems clever and fixes stuff.
