Haha I would go and see the plasterer and kick him in the arse, its a pain tho as 9 times out of ten we end up making good corners I normally quote for making good a few ( couple hundred quid ) but 50 bathrooms is a lot to sort out and a few bags of rapid, good time to crank the price up a bit on the day work sheets and get a site instruction to make good

I`d love to get some day work sheets signed off. Trouble is, the foreman thinks there o.k !
I have already said they can`t be fitted as they are, so sent off a load of pic`s to the firm i`m working for.
This is the same job as the one I posted earlier this week, with the sh1t engineered boards.

Stevie Wonder was knocking up, and Ray Charles was on the trowel ! I`m not Superstitious, but even I could See it was gonna look rough !

should ask the plaster to finish off or you will get someone else to finish off and will invoice them for the work.

We really need to take on the European approach in the u.k where each trade signs off the other trades work before they get paid. So the plasterer has to have the decorator or the floorlayer in your case signs off his work saying your happy with it before you can commence your own work. If no one can agree with if the work is passable or not then a independent expert should be appointed and charged (taken from owed monies) to which ever trade is taking the pee.

I am having similar problems on this job

We are having to DPM the rooms and I can't do it on this amount of plaster, don't think he has left a section free from it!
So we are scrubbing and grinding it off, going to have a big problem with the bill I think,
They have instructed us to clean it off but the plasterer will have a heart attack when he sees it,
If it was one or two rooms you wouldn't mind but there are 1100 plus the corridors, over 18,000m2
So I need to sort it out next week before we do too many.

one that annoys me is when builders caulk the skirting boards up to pass the air test, im not talking nice 3mm bead more like 15mm sasauge and they seem to wipe it all over the bathroom floors where theres vinyl to be fitted, no matter how many times you tell the site manager it still happens.

I'm always scraping up plaster on jobs. Thinking of charging for it now.
They don't care really and always get away with it

Had a real arse of a foreman on one site he thought it was funny that I kept moaning about cleaning up others crap so when he dropped his banana skin on the floor laughed and walked off I lost the plot and hatched my revenge I picked up a bag of rapid walked to his office where he was having a cup of tea with architect and labour and and hand full by hand full threw it into the back of his fan he was using then told him to clean my **** upthen do some of your own work and walked off site I neved did get any more work from that company, I find actions work better than words sometimes
