I have just replaced some sisal carpet as part of an insurance claim.

I uplifted the old sisal which had been fitted and then skirting boards fitted. The sisal had been loose laid on crumb rubber felt which in turn was just loose laid.

I just wondered if this is or was an acceptable method of installation because it seemed to work ok?

Incidentally I did it double stick!

far as im aware the ONLY way to fit sisal is to double stick it on durafit underlay etc
    including acclimitisation etc
