asbestos?

    Which old floor tiles have asbestos in, what they look like and what age. Lifted some black and red tiles this week been down 50 years any pics of the ones to avoid?

    all imperial tiles have asbestos in them, and I think I read somewhere that asbestos was used in tiles till the late eighties early nineties, so I generally treat them all with kid gloves.

    White asbestos used in tiles wasn't banned untill 1999 believe it or not !!

    I think manufacturer was stopped in 1999 but they was still been sold up to 2001 i think?

    Then you have teh builders / floorlayers that purchased a load cheap and used past 2001. i bet there is still odd boxes being fitted today.

    Indeed there is!!! See it done only 2 weeks ago in a hospital!!!!!

    Went back today and they have been down 70 years, taken one away. Where can you get them tested? Will upload a pic.
