What brad nail staple gun are you guys using? Matt Said a new one puts small nails in an the heads don't need filling. Looking to buy a good one. Think this is my 1st post in wood section lol
Ha ha you traitor ? I've got a 606 stapler that fires small brade nails as as well as staples but what's beading ?
Me 30 is the proper brad gun that Spotnails do, I found the 606 leaves a mark on the scotia/beading. The best one I ever had was on the compressor (before it broke) cause its more powerful you get a better finish and no heads left sticking out.
this is the one ive had for a few yrs Does the job http://www.my-tool-shed.co.uk/p1260...0EL_Angled_Nailer_240v_0664/product_info.html
I used the dewalt brad cordless nailer .. 18g.. 32mm brads .. Perfect but it is a expensive bit of kit ... If you do 1 or 2 jobs a month then not worth it to spend that much money ... I think it's about £350.. But has outlasted any other gun I have had also I have put on arcs and skirting with it
You have a compressor so why not consider an air brad nailer which won't be expensive and has plenty power?
Bosch do a headless pinner 23g but don't know if its available in the uk at the moment but you can buy them from USA, see if a company can post as a present you won't get charged tax
Would you really want to lug a compressor around just for 5 or 6 lengths of scotia take longer fo fiil tank and get hose out than it would to pin it
There's normally Makita headless pinners (air) on eBay forabout 60 sheets. Spotnails 30 08 is the mutts nuts though even though its got a stupid short cable
I bought a Makita 18 volt nailer a few months back as I have drills/jigsaws etc which are 18 volt and have no complaints at all. Not cheap at 300 notes (chassis only) but no need for cables or air supplies etc. Even has a light to see what I'm doing :thumbs
This one Daz - http://www.tradediscountshop.co.uk/shop/se3008-veneer-pinner/ The pin is really fine and leaves a very small hole compared to 18 gauge / Spotnails Me30 etc. Yes it fires through hard wood. I didnt think it would as the pin is so fine. However when you think about it, the pin being thicker will need a lot more force and do more damage the thicker it is. quick test for you, try and push a cocktail stick through a sausage. Then try and shove the handle of a wooden spoon through a sausage. Which one goes through easy and doesn't make a mess?
Right just tried with a different sausage & now I'm bleeding ?? So what have I learned ? Don't push a cocktail stick through your sausage !
Post a picture up so i can see what your doing wrong. I think the problem is you might be trying to stick a cocktail stick through a sausage the same size as a cocktail sausage maybe?
