Updating downstairs cloakroom and would like to put down some click vinyl planks. Currently have samples of Livloc which I like, also Moduleo and Emporium. These will be fitted by the company doing the bathroom so probably joiner or plumber. Could anyone recommend which make might be best/ easiest to fit/ best locking system. Have already ruled out Adore as I have read that they can be difficult to fit together.
    Thanks

Don't mean to sound rude but why are you having a plumber and a joiner and then letting them do your floor? Would you let the floor layer plumb your bathroom in?

Rant over. Monday is not a good day for me I have the day off and have my 2 kids to save on childcare. Lol

My opinion is choose the material that you want and get a floor layer to do it, rather than ruling one out because the plumber might struggle with it. You will be able to find a decent floor layer on here.

Why does it make a difference how it fits together if your not doing it? why make it easy for the sparks plumber whoever is fitting it?? surely you go for the one that you like colour size wise and then its down to the installer to put it down correctly, like the others have said get a floor layer in to do the floor and let the plumber worry about not flooding the house.

Distinctive flooring and moduleo are the best two lvt click products on the market, use moduleo if they don't run distinctive.

Personally I can't see the point of any of the click LVT. Prep the floor and stick dryback LVT Job done. The click system can't be used with direct heat ,near a window etc because it Parts at the join.
Too many problems . I'll stick with what works thanks.

Exactly. This is what my brother inlaws firm (electrician, plumbing & heating) do. I do all their bathroom/kitchen work. The last bathroom i did for them was in Moduleo but dry back.

They sold a click then changed the rules on how to fit it? After complaints.

I did a click lvt in the distinctive in the ground floor of a new house it looked great to the customer they were really happy but the tiles were lipping on the header joins, for me if your going to go down the click route get one with a bevel so you can't see or feel the lip, Victoria do one with the same click system as the distinctive (quickstep click) it looks good done about 100m2 of the silver wood effect and no problems so far.

You had a play with the devil flooring......it will never replace stickdown but is an option and is useful for some in the right areas.....sold 350sq last week for a shop in Camden high street. Ensured all fitting guidelines are understood etc before agreed to the sale, best way IMO.

We fitted lots of ways click headers in first then the row like you would with balterio laminate, in the end we clipped the length and tapped the header in with a scrap piece both ways the headers were lipping.
when I fit click now I lay a row down square then cut a plank up and click into the row where the header joins are and screw them down so the row can't come out of square and tap away like a laminate, this way it's faster fitting, haven't had a problem so far and fitted loads in commercial properties, only problem I have had is when we fitted net in a dining room with conservatory doors, when summer came it expanded and blew easy fix went round with fien cut expansion and beading.
