Got a repair to do on a join which has been silver seamed & I don't have a silver seamer ( or want one ) Can the tape be removed from the carpet backing without the machine & with out damaging the backing to much so I can heat seam it back together ?
I've managed to remove silver seam tape before using my heat seam iron to warm the glue up on the back of the tape. What's wrong with the join?
The carpet has been pull back a few times by plumber & sparks so starting it pulling apart a bit. To be honest I don't want to do it but I let myself get talked into these things ? I've already said there better off getting a new carpet ?
