so if you have. 3 mtre wide vinyl and the room is 2.95metres how exactly do you centralise it?

You cant......just make sure it's straight along the longest viewable wall.

Because the tiles/planks may be say 10cm wide, but he's only got 5cm leeway.

Depends if the pattern is equal over the 3m width
You can still template it with 5cm to play with it

Yeah you can template it (who the hell templates sheet vinyl?), but he's asking how to centralise a pattern when there's no room for movement.

Eh? You can't possibly hope to centralise a pattern if the size of the repeat is more than you have to play with... ie if the repeat is 10 cm and you've only got 5cm to play with, you cant centralise it, unless it just happens to fall central accidentally.....you need to make sure you have at least one entire repeat more than the width of the room to be able to get it central.....templating has nothing to do with it.
What is it about templating anyway? Surely nobody does that for sheet vinyl?

Only if the pattern isn't equal on each machine side on the 3m width of the vinyl

As someone on this thread said earlier, the Secura really is the dogs.....I did some yesterday and it knocks the arse out of any LVT......I'm beginning to feel quite happy that I don't do LVT's now......customer did a double take, thinking I'd layed a wood floor.

I've heard good things about secura & have just priced a job in it so hopefully will get the chance to fit some soon.

You'll never beet the versatility & endless design options of an LVT though IMO

It's a bit rough on the knuckles when you're hooking it in, the woodgrain effect is pretty realistic

I love secura. Defo got to fully bond it , proper job. Hate it when fitters dont fully bond sheet. Its a must over 4 meters lin .

What adhesive do you usually use with secura?
