If u try and spike roller a screed that thick it will make a mess unless you have some seriously long spike!
I've got a spikey with say 10 mm spikes on it, all it does is get filled with screed if it's a deep pour, I now what you mean!
ive got a 28mm spikey roller and ive found that deep it causes the roller to drag as there is just to much screed on the deck to do it properly.
