Had a site meeting with mapei rep today (had a query on an expansion gap) .got gabbing as you do, and he said they where doing tests on the latex trade plan screed to see if they can put it the same class as NA. It sounded promising. It's a great screed which I've been using for sometime now . Good comp strength and bonds really good most importantly .
It's too high compression strength so can't see how they will do that. Had it crack all over on Ashpalt a few years ago.
Yeah I've had it crack on me a few times but it's strange coz still solid when you tap it by cracks. I also think that it's too high a comp for it to be like NA but will see what they say after tests etc.. Must admit tho I do think its solid when used with Eco prim primer, tried chip some up and it was well stuck. Never had a prob with drying times neither.
Can`t use it on site in the winter. Basically screed, go away for a week, then come back with fingers crossed. Unless there is good airflow, and warm temp`s I find its useless for drying.
Even in domestic jobs it sometimes takes longer than say stopgap200 to dry. Stopped using it at the moment. Will use it again late spring
I used some in January it took 5 days to dry pointless using it unless its summer time. Apart from than not bad for the money but can't see it being able to be used like NA ?
I like it, especially the price. I have to tell customers I need to leave it a full day to dry so can't often go back next day to fit. Has anyone else put a moisture meter on a new screed the next day?
