Wood in lounge

    Can anyone fit a wood floor in a lounge in clapham. Job would need to be done within 10 days. Wood laid over accoustilay.

    What type of wood is it. No one likes using accoustilay its horrible. Fully bonded with real wood where possible or secret nailed.
    o sorry nk1 did nt see it was you thought it was joe public but i stand by my comment its horrible.

    Fully agree with Oddbod_Jnr on this one...Acoustilay is awful, expensive for what it is, and difficult stuff to use, fully bonded on a properly prepared subfloor every time for me...

    Hi mate. The accoustilay 15 is down. Wood is to go straight over the top. Engineered, floated. I spoke with trim acoustics who said that was fine. I'm certainly no wood expert so I can only go on what they tell me and the kitchen has the same accoustilay down with wood laid on top. Not stuck.

    I believe they said the the accoustilay 8 needed to be stuck direct but the 15 didn't.
