    Belt sander. Start course then fine try to get to a polish or near enough.spray with clear laquer (3 or 4 coats).

    Took your advice mate and here are the results

    Was pretty rusty like, but in pretty good condition. Had been sitting in some blokes shed for 20 years

    i have exactly same one so my aim is to get it as shiny as yours :cool: ....the roller that is....
