Good morning Chaps, Can lino be coved in the same manner a srv (slip resistant vinyl's) or does it have to be picture framed.
When I first started as a labourer the guys I was sweeping for were cap and coving it in one. Looked to me as if it took a lot of skill to do it and I would never fancy doing it myself. So it is possible but how many can do it is another question I guess? Im sure the more educated will be along soon to confirm or disagree.
yes it can be formed up the wall cap & coved in one , the only time it needs to be picture framed is if it has a border in it .
Yep can be done in one but if it's a long length say 15-20 meters Lin then it's way easier to put saddles ( picture frame) in.
You need to be very careful coving lino one wrong move & it splits. Get it aclimatized nice & warm so it easier to work with & always template don't try to free hand & defo no heat guns. You need a T & kyte template kit or make your own to do it properly !
How come no heat? Ive always used a heat gun on lino and vinyl to ensure the sheet is pushed and rolled right into the radius of the cove former, as site conditions are generally not room temperature. Not for warming and hacking it in might i add!!
