Right lads, I've gotta put together a little lvt design floor for a mate of mine thats opening a show room(everything to do with building) I've got loads of part pack...knight tile black and white, distinctive Rimini, camaro ocean slate and about 4 different colours in camaro wood plank. Any ideas or pics of what I could do as I don't really do a lot of this stuff. What's the best way to put it together? Should I invest in some scribers?
The janser hinge scribers are good thats what I use as there shorter than others and can use them on small borders
Yes defo need scribe bar & under & overs ! I've done a few display floors & always do a few circles coz they look great. Also best to use good selling products not stuff knowone buys. Good to show different set out paterns & design options so people can see whats possible. Do some mitres & curved borders to. Just go mad lol
Lol easy for you to say! I was thinking a few circles in there, not that ive ever done one before!wood on the 45 as the main field with a feature strip border. Might try and curve the corners....seen a few of the lads on here do that. Is it easier to do the circles say out of tiles and then cut the field into them? Gotta get some brick bond tiles in somehow too. Anyway I will just stare at the floor trying to think of what to do I need some inspiration (something to copy)
Easy to cut a circle mate before or after. What I'd do is say have a section of artselect parquet in Heronbone with a border the have a circle with in it or overlapping with just a different colour of parquet in a different laying paten ! & then sort of keep the theme going through out with each range to show the different pattern & colours if that makes sense ?

Yes use design strips in tramlines or even better bendy bendy ! Use strips to break up each section. You could do it as a whole main field in say a popular wood plank with mini floor displays in front of display stands as I described ! Possibilities are endless but defo stick to a theme with your designs so it doesn't look like a busy mess & keep a bit of uniformity going !
