I went to do a quote on the way home this evening. They customer has already had karndean knight tile in the hallway, kitchen and diner.
Now the customer was over the moon with previous said flooring but as I was looking round I could see the joints in the plywood, nail heads and glue trowel marks. It was awful.
I wouldn't get away with leaving a job like that (even if I wanted to which I don't).
I'm quoting to join into the diner area to conservatory and I know they'll see a difference between my job and previous one.
If I get it I'll take pics of it and you can see for yourselves.

Had one like that, knife marks everywhere where they'd overscored and a border tile cut too big just bent up on the skirting like coving!!! When I pointed it out they said they thought it was meant to be like that??
They had to pay me a week to repair it all.

if they didn't notice what you noticed why are they going to see the difference in your work!

Leave alone mate. They have obviously been happy with the existing work. Some customers pick the smallest detail on a great job and others let things like this go. Maybe when they've seen your work they might ask whats going on but I wouldn't suggest anything.

My thoughts exactly. Just hate seeing crap work. I'll leave it alone and like you say hopefully my work will stand out to them.

Having this exact chat over the weekend. You don't need to say anything. You're not that sort of guy and you can let your work say it all.
Good to see the finished job.
