For stairs and landing... how would you rate:

Cormar Primo Plus vs Primo Choice Elite - or would any of their others be better?

Kingsmead Wolltec - man made but does feel quite wool-like.

or is anything in the big places like Carpetrigh scs etc worth going for (interest free credit would be v v useful at the moment!).

I don't want shiny, static-y, flat, or that has the sort of pile that shows the direction it's lying in (not sure that makes sense, but if you rubbed your finger along it, it would stand out like a line).

    Thanks for any help.

Primo choice elite is really good. Don't think plus will last long on the stairs. Not used Wooltex so can't comment on that but I think it's more expensive?

Primo ultra is good on the stairs and I find the mix/heather wears better than the plain re crushing/pile direction

Best moth free would be the new Home Counties which is now moth resistant.

Primo plus is pretty cheap and thin. Primo ultra is their heavyweight poly prop but if you don't like to see pile direction then don't go for that. It's like a saxony, you can clearly see it.

But if he doesn't want the look of poly then wool or wolltec are the only options and as he wants moth free then the new Home Counties is the answer and a very very competitive price.

Yes great value, however I though moths were only a problem with wool based carpets not man made?
