Hello chaps, just thinking about getting my van sign written. I subcontract for two shops. Would you let anyone work for you with there own sign written van. Just trying to boost my work focus for my own jobs really. Not steal peoples work when turning up on there jobs with a sign written van. Feedback needed. Also anyone in London area know anyone who can do this? What about you merit as your van looks nice.

hi, i fit and own a shop and 2 other fitters subby for me, if it just had say....." john carpet fitter" and number it wouldnt bother me, if the fitter went to town advertising supplying, free estimates and so on then i may shy away from using him.

Think I paid around £500 That's was for both back doors wrapped and half the sides wrapped. Then company logo over the top of the wrapping with tel number on sides and back. The wrapping is spot on but the logo over the top blew on the joins. I reckon he used a cheaper vinyl on the logo. Since then I use my brothers mate in basingstoke and he re done the logo for £120 and its been fine

I'm having my van done I sub to a shop what I'm doing is letting the shop have a magnetic sign done which will cover my details when I sub to them and when I'm not I'll take it off

When I first started doing my own supplying I ran a van for that and another for subbing, and ran as 2 seperate businesses

Although I've always intended to I've never had my vans sign written ? Just never got round to it but I've also never worked for shops only builders & shop fitters who regularly ask me why my vans not sign written !
One day I will & have had price around the 250 mark

Do any of you use magnet signs on your vans or do you prefer to have it fully sign written?

No better advertising for your own business when sign written. I had my old Berlingo wrapped and it got noticed. People said they'd seen it at traffic lights, Tesco's, petrol station, etc. Mind you shops didn't like it. One used to give me magnetic signs to put on. I only do my own work now anyway. Just need to get my Renault Trafic sorted. It looks naked.

I had magnetic ones but put on dirty paintwork never washed before and they flew off going down the m40.
