I would have a check mate only takes airbricks on one side of the house to be blocked to stop air flow & moisture to build up in the floor cavity !

Sorry Dave, just always best to look around first before judging others. Could be something other bad fitting.

No mate it is bad fitting. Theres trowel marks coming through. I only showed one area. If you could see the whole floor the you'd know. I very rarely call anybody else's fitting but know bad fitting when i see it.

Tbh I'd would have asked how old the flooring is, any building work done since etc....the ply is a clear moisture issue not fitting ...

I'd also like to point out that unfortunately but probably for the best 99.9% of my knowledge of floorlaying & floor preparation comes from my experience in the trade & the extensive research I've made off my own back sometimes due to failers but mostly from the question...

I wonder how you do that ?

Right you 2 naysayers. I checked the air bricks and they are not clogged up.
Spoke to the customer today and things are a lot clearer now. There was a vestibule which was taken out in the hall which is where the dip is. They got another fitter in to extend the existing karndean and he quite obviously didn't level it up properly on the pics shown. He also did more work at the same time and here are his results. In the extension area he's not used any plywood and fitted straight chipboard floorboards. Plus with a full length glass door to the outside he's obviously not used HT glue as you can see the tiles coming up. Its south facing so sun all day.

Air bricks caused the nice work by the architrave! Haha. Sometimes I think you just have to say that it's bad fitting.

    Ohhhhh my gossshhh.

    thats real poor workmanship simple!

you should point it out to them and give them the option to replace the lot, it'll be a nice job for you and it would help them open their eyes a little more and to avoid them using another cowboy in the future...if they dont continue to use you.

looking forward to the new vs old pictures

It is bad but don't know if they'll go to the expense. Hopefully they may get the back room done as he's not put plywood down. Fitted straight to chipboard floor.
