    Hi guys,

Brilliant forum with a wealth of knowledge! We've just bought a property a few miles from Kingston & I was wondering if any of the fitters on the forum work locally to quote?

Struggling to find anyone locally who does anything other than Karndean/Amtico only...we've been looking at polyflor expona/bevel line & mflor at the moment. Looking for a lvt with a 0.55m wear layer with registered embossing & a dark wood colour (distinctive only seem to have lighter colours). Any other quality LVT suggestions would be great too!

Our colour theme is going to be similar to the below picture

    Thanks guys!

Distinctive either scarlet oak, Florence or maybe tan oak would suit.

Why do those people only do karndean/amtico?
Its Lvt after all so they still should be able to do the polyflor lvt etc!

Some people can only "sell" what people ask for. You're right, lvt is lvt. Most think what they see on the floor is either Amtico or karndean as they're the most known.

Distinctive flooring classics Nordic - authentic oak 2.5mm .55 wear bevel. That would be dark enough with an hand scraped finish

Can't seem to see that on the website mate? Also what exactly is grain embossing that your signature label has?

It's a fantastic piece of technology that allows you to feel each grain and knot that is embossed into the surface layer of the plank.
I'd suggest to order some samples of the website and maybe contact cre8tive flooring on here to sort out sampling for authentic oak and fitting costs etc

Luvanto do that as well on their registered embossed range.
Amtico were making a embossed tile years ago but discontinued it as it wasn't very popular, apparently.

15yrs we've been making it, one of the most successful luxury vinyl tiles available worldwide, we are also known as mflor or metro floor, others have come along and tried to match it but I guess the original is always the best.

I thought Amtico stopped it because they couldnt match the grain with the embossing?

Read on here from a few fitters that Luvanto is a really great value for money tile, complete with registered embossment!

Try some samples online, see what you think?
