I e been struggling with this for a while. Can't get the glue to bond properly. When I put an lvt tile down to cut it in I lift it up and glue comes straight off with it. Sometimes all of it sometimes most of. I guessed it was an issue with latence from it but I can't get it to stick like it used to. With ply I can stick the tile down push it hard and relift it with next to no glue coming up.
Makes fitting so much slower and it's obviously not sticking aswell as it should.

The less water I mix with it the better it stick but I even mixed a bag up with just 5liters in it and it stuck a lot better but wasn't perfect.

Anyone else have problems? Will mixing it longer help stop this?

Wasn't untill I done an uplift in a job I fitted a year ago that I realised how bad it was. The old job I just rest the tile in it and i couldn't pull the tile back out on my own. The bond was incredible

Do you prime latex before gluing?

Never primed before glueing. The primer would just do the same?

I've seen someone prime ontop of ply and it came through the plank. (Knightile) and it went green lol

Stick a buffer over the screed first that will sort it

Yeah that's true. But I never used to use one and it was fine, you can't use it on ur little downstairs loo which is often the biggest problem

Think its to do with the modern screeds having an almost glazed top to them when dry, especially the water mixes super30 is the worst for it almost like a perspex finish to it.

So do we have any idea if it affect the way the tile reacts to temperatures. Obviously you can lift it up easier s assume it's not doing the proper job of stopping the tiles expanding/shrinking. Much prefer fitting on ply atm

Or don't use PS adhy ? Dry fit & use a wetset like HT then your not pull tiles up out the glue !

My worst knight are is using high temp adhesive. I absolutely hate the stuff lol. I guess if everyone else is having the same issues then I'm not so worried. If it's just me then there obviously an issue. Just wanted to try and fix the issue if possible.

I felt the same once but now I think its not a problem as long as you dry fit first then wet lay its actually quick & no waiting for PS to tack off

Yeah. Tricky when you get loads of planks that have bowed. You have to bend them into shape with the ps adhesive lol

I might give it a go next week. Got 85sqm of Van Gogh in a community centre. When using pressure would you glue in stages. I would just glue as much as I can fit in that day.

Depends what PS ? 46 or mapei I glue loads same as you but Karndean or Amtico PS as much as I can fit in 2 hours but I'd still dry fit a fair bit of it first so I can just bang them in !

Yep F46 stays highly tacky permanently it's only dust that can make it loose its tack. You can also change damaged & without regluing !
    Mapei PS is even stronger
