I have been to a job today where I was told don't worry the builder will make sure it's level enough to glue a solid wood down. It's not of course and so I am going to level it. The problem is at either side of the room is a channel approx. 3" wide (which has central heating pipes) covered by some osb strips not very well fixed. Has anyone done a stick down where they have left the end 3" not adhered to the sub floor and if so were there any consequences? The majority of the channel is under radiators so will not be walked on. Many thanks.
Good point from Dave there...You don't know what he's used or how well he's applied it... I honestly don't think 3" is anything to worry about...Well, that's what the missus keeps telling me but I think she's lying... Make sure you're running with decent sized boards at the ends...Others might have a different opinion...Is 3" enough lads? :lol:
The builder only patch repaired a couple areas where there was a slight difference in levels (which is why it is still not level) and this accounts for less than 10% of the total original slab. Yes Wes I think if the ends are decent size boards as you say it will probably be ok. Thanks for the input.
