Looking to get a full CRB check but as a sole trader i can't do it myself. Is it something whats really needed? Only wanted to get it myself to put it on my website and so maybe have an advantage winning future customers/clients.
I had mine done earlier this yr dave I just filled out an online form with my details, sent off the relevant id required etd and they sent me a certificate couple weeks later
I would nt bother. If you get any work which requires it, they will want to do the check themselves anyway. We do a bit for mod, met police, and a few others. They all carry out there own checks
personally I think it looks good to have to the general customer etc but as neily has pointed out, when its actually rqd, they will prob do their own checks etc
If you know anyone that runs a kids club (martial arts, cubs, brownies etc) then they can get you one done at a reduced rate
Very true .! I do work which required crb . Airport, schools and nursery. They all need to do their own checks nowadays.
Last job we did, was at Scotland Yard. We had to sign the Official Secrets Act for that one. What a joke ! They leave there laptops at McDonalds, and paperwork on the bus. I normally find they will check you out, give you a year pass, then carry out there checks again the following year.
