Heres a couple pictures of my work over the past few months This is a hostel in glasgow,26 rooms over 3 floors and 2 rooms up in the attic. 3 different "fitters" (you know the type) walked off the job as the carpet was 2nd quality and had been lying in the basement for 4 years. It was a bit of a nightmare but looked the part when it was finished. These steps lead to the 2rooms in the attic, iv fitted loads of tartan over the years but never came up against winders with it so took my time on this staircase, twisted the patern a bit too much in places as you will see in the pic but i was happy with it and so was the customer. Been covering a few of these lately from a major retailer whose fitters just wont even attempt them! Thankfully most of them are straight stairs but heres some winders. We all know they wont match, but every customer has been more than satisfied after being told it wouldnt match at all. This is a church ive been doing some work for, this is the first one in glasgow. Unfortunatley i didnt get any pics of this one finished as they all came in sorting out equipment for opening the next day This is the other one in Bonnyrigg a fair bit bigger than the glasgow one. Thanks for reading!
Its only because the houses I'm tied in with at the moment have 2 staircases and a total of 14 winders lol don't mind them but would be nice to fit some straight stairs for a change.. Lvt to the newer builds staircases near xmas.
